Marquee or “half-barrel” awnings are similar in general shape to Gable awnings but feature bows that form a curved top with half-round shaped end panels. Smaller Marquee awnings are typically manufactured with 1”x1” aluminum frames, and the larger Marquee canopies are typically manufactured with 1”x1” & 1”x2” aluminum, which makes them much stronger than our competitors’ 1×1 frames. The larger Marquee canopies are typically supported by a pair of posts approximately every 10’ of projection. Covers are typically manufactured from Sunbrella and are screwed to the frames using a concealed webbing band to stretch them tighter than can be done with traditional lacing. They also feature corner reinforcement patches on all hanging valances.
